Joaquim Aloy i Bosch (Manresa, 1956) is a graduate in Contemporary History. In 2007 as a personal project he created the website memoria.cat, which is now the web portal of the Associació Memòria i Història de Manresa. His numerous research projects are focussed on Manresa during the period of the Second Republic, the Civil War and the Franco regime. He is the joint-author of books such as Homenatge Joaquim Amat-Piniella 1913-1974 (Generalitat de Catalunya, 2014, ISBN: 9788439392095). In 2007 he was awarded the Premio Bages de Cultura “for his work in research and in publicising issues related to historical memory." He was responsible for the important discovery of the manuscript dealing with the detention of President Lluis Companys. He works as a manager of cultural projects in the Provincial Government (Diputación) of Barcelona.
