Marc Gil Garrusta is Professor of Contemporary History & the Modern World at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and is a member of the research group IdentiCat.Llengua, cultura i identitat en l'era global at the university. He holds a PhD in History from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB); his doctoral thesis was La instauració del régim franquista a l’Ajuntament de Barcelona: depuració i reconfiguració de l’Administració municipal .
